After 8 incredible years at Genentech/Roche, I’m stepping into a new chapter. This chapter, along with my professional journey as CEO of my own consulting company and my work with Chevron, Oracle, Eli Lilly, Microsoft, Arthur Andersen/Andersen Consulting and many others—I’m taking with me a few lessons that have shaped me as a leader, colleague, and human.

As I reflect on this meaningful journey, here are some of the insights I’ll carry forward—lessons learned from both the challenges and the incredible people I’ve worked alongside:

🔹 Relationships are the real legacy Projects come and go, but it’s the connections, collaborations, and human moments that leave the deepest mark.

🔹 Change leadership is essential The best leaders don’t just manage change—they lead through it. They inspire, align, and move people forward even in uncertainty.

🔹 Spend less time describing the problem Problem-solving beats problem-stating. Momentum comes when we shift focus from analysis to action.

🔹 Invest in others' success Whether it’s mentoring, coaching, or advocating—helping others grow is one of the most fulfilling parts of leadership.

🔹 Adaptability > Certainty Plans shift and circumstances change. Being open, curious, and flexible will take you farther than having all the answers.

🔹 Your title isn’t your impact People won’t remember your org chart placement—but they will remember how you showed up for them.

🔹 What you focus on…expands What you consistently give your attention to—whether positive or negative—tends to grow in presence, influence, and impact in your life. Choose the positives.

What lesson resonates with you? What would you add to this list?

As I move into this next chapter, I’m partnering with organizations and leaders ready to embrace growth, navigate change, and lead with intention—especially in today’s fast-evolving, AI-driven world.

If your team is ready to level up in leadership, strategy, or change execution—I’d love to connect.

👉 Let’s explore how we can work together.

Because transformation starts with conversation—and I’m here for you.
